QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.
To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
This role is highly technical and will involve many different applications and technologies.
You will be involved in the following:
- Design and maintenance of various infrastructure projects
- Networking, Administration, Maintenance
- Configuration of servers, workstations and other network devices
This role will involve a substantial focus on tasks and duties arising from ISO27001 information security best practice, policies, and procedures.
Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft solutions and technologies
- An awareness/understanding of other operating systems
- An excellent understanding of MS Office applications
- A good understanding of TCP/IP
- A good understanding of DNS
- Familiarity with firewalls and load balancing technologies
- Able to interpret, record information and data accurately
- Excellent Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work alone without close supervision
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Methodical approach to tasks
Personal qualities
- Enthusiasm for IT and technologies such as cloud services
- Passion for technology

- Self-motivated
Desired qualifications
- An A Level in ICT / An International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
- A Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
- A BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)
- or equivalents
