Job Title: Health Care Assistant Development Lead

Salary band: Band 4

Contract Lenght: 12 month Fixed Term

Hours 37.5 hours

Location: Vocational Team, Tom Rudd Unit Moorgreen Hospital,

West End, Southampton.

This is a great opportunity for an Associate Practitioner, Nursing Associate or experienced Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker looking for an opportunity to gain experience within education and develop within their career. In-house training and support will be provided to assist your development in to this role. This post is essential to meeting the continuing professional development needs of Healthcare Support Workers within the Trust to ensure staff are able to have the confidence to deliver high quality care and to support them in their development.

This post requires you to share your existing clinical experience, skills and knowledge to support the development of Health Care Support Workers. Working with them in practice in clinical settings and supporting them through from inducting/mentoring them into their role and completing the Care Certificate to progressing onto core apprenticeship programmes. To develop their reflective practice within their job roles and to act as a positive role model to promote clinical excellence and compassionate care.

Managed by the Band 5 Trainer/Assessor within the Vocational Team the post holder will work with minimal supervision, to support individuals in developing competencies to fulfil National Apprenticeship and local standards and guidelines.

We are looking for someone with clinical knowledge as a band 4 or experienced band 3 who has a keen interest in education, training and development. Who is able to work effectively within a team and has excellent communications skills.

The post holder will have a minimum level 3 Diploma in Clinical Health Care Support or a Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care.

A full UK driver's license and access to a car for work purposes is essential for this role.
