Band: Apprenticeship


Year 1 - minimum apprentice wage £4.30 an hour

Years 2 - 4 - minimum age related pay from £6.56 - £8.36 an hour depending on age.

Full/Part Time: Full time

Hours per week: 37.5

Shift Pattern: Days, nights and weekends

Perm/Temp/Fixed Term: Fixed term for 4 years

  • To apply for this opportunity you will need to possess 'A' level equivalent academic qualifications with Math and English GCSE or equivalent. You will also need to demonstrate recent learning and the ability to work at degree level.
  • You will need to work flexibly and be able to undertake learning though virtual platforms.
  • Commitment to the four year programme is essential for success.
  • Experience of delivering patient facing care is an advantage but not essential.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large district General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital. The Trust has almost 4,000 staff and provides a range of medical services to more than 445,000 patients per year from areas covering Western Cheshire, Ellesmere Port, Neston and North Wales.

The cost of the DBS application is £28 (standard) or £45 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.
