I'm delighted that you're thinking about joining the team here at Yeovil Hospital, recently rated the best Trust in the NHS for staff health and wellbeing.

Working in the NHS is both challenging and rewarding. That's why we're committed to giving our staff the best possible balance between a stimulating career and a relaxing personal life, enabling you to make the most of our picturesque surroundings and arrive at work energised each day.

Looking after you helps you look after our patients, and enables us to achieve some of the best performance in the NHS. For instance, we are regularly one of the top-three hospitals in England for emergency care, and we have a global reputation for research and development, and innovative partnerships with primary care.

If this is your first role in the NHS, we'll show you why we're one of the most respected healthcare systems in the world. And if you're joining us from another Trust, we'll remind you why you wanted to work in healthcare in the first place.

I look forward to working with you

Jonathan

Jonathan Higman, Chief Executive

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our busy training department, supporting the OSCE training team who train international nurses when they arrive in the UK.

This is a new role and will work closely with our team to offer administration support to run our training courses, facilitate bookings and increase our social media & online coverage.

The role involves:
  • Facilitating bookings for our external clients
  • Sending out joining instructions and answering any queries
  • Ensuring training rooms are ready and facilities ordered for the candidates
  • Preparing training materials
  • Working with the training team creating new training materials where needed
  • Updating our online training platform to ensure information is up to date
  • Posting social media updates to promote the service on various platforms
  • Monitoring emails and responding to queries
  • General administration tasks to support the training team
  • Working Monday to Friday working between 8.30-17.00. There will be occasions where we will need support at weekends.

Full training will be provided for the role and if you would like to undertake further education we will support you undertaking an apprenticeship.

To be successful you will need to:
  • Have strong administration and computer skills
  • Accuracy with emails and bookings courses
  • Confident telephone manner as you will be taking telephone bookings and information
  • Proactive problem solver to resolve any day to day issues

For the right person this will turn into a permanent position.
