37.5 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen for an HR Co-ordinator to join our strong team of HR Business Partners and Advisors supporting a large, complex and unionised workforce. This is a new and exciting role and an excellent development opportunity for those wishing to pursue a career in HR.

The successful applicant will be expected to undertake and successfully complete the two year HR Support Level 3 qualification via an apprenticeship route.

Working in close liaison with members of the wider HR and OD team, the successful applicant will support the HR Business Partners and Advisors by providing initial advice and guidance on HR related queries, ensuring adherence to agreed policies and procedures and best practice.

Applicants will need to have a relevant NVQ level 4/diploma (or equivalent) or have relevant experience to this level.

Applicants will need to have experience of working within an administrative role as well as within a team/providing a service to customers, and be able to demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative, prioritise work and work accurately to multiple deadlines.

There will be a need to travel across North Cumbria to provide support to other Trust sites but the role will primarily be based in Carlisle.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children therefore if the post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended) the successful candidate(s) will be subject to a criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.20 = deducted at £10.20 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
