Machinist for manufacturing facility of specialist fasteners:
You will be trained to use a variety of manufacturing equipment and machinery, lathes, millers, grinders and capstan lathes to a high level of skill and competence. In addition to machining you will be trained in the use of inspection equipment such as micrometers, veniers and co-ordinate measuring machines.
You will be expected to attend a local college to complete a Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing and work through all the modules to complete and gain an Advanced Apprenticeship Award.

The Candidate must have GCSEs or equivalent in maths and English at leatd Grade 6/B or above.

Things to consider
The role will at times be physically demanding with the need to lift and carry (boxes of components) for example. Witht the exception of breaks you will be standning all day. The work is at times small detailed and will require good manual dexterity and eyesight.
