Join the multidisciplinary team at Arbury Court and provide care and treatment for adult women in medium, and low secure, and psychiatric intensive care PICU) environments, who have Personality Disorder and Mental Health conditions.

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will support the service in delivering and monitoring structured therapeutic activities and assisting in the planning for individual and group therapeutic interventions.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will build one-to-one rapport with service users as you assist in arranging individual and group activities that are tailored to their care plans and interests. This will see you take an active role in encouraging participation in activities to empower recovery.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and will have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth.

This role involves:
  • Organise, monitor and ensure an adequate supply of stock/session materials
  • To record attendance and submit statistical data according to departmental procedures
  • To adhere to a timetable of sessions which equates to a minimum of 25 hours per week as per the needs of the service

To be successful in this role:
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • Creativity and ability to adapt activities to the needs of the service user
  • Basic awareness of mental health conditions
  • Experience in providing a range of activities and occupations
