What will the apprentice be doing?
As a Transport Planning Apprentice you will use maths, programming and GIS skills alongside a variety of transport software packages to estimate what the future of our transport systems might look like and how a range of interventions might affect them. A role in Transport Planning gives you the opportunity to shape the future of our communities, making a real difference to the way in which people live.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will attend Aston University to study a Transport Planning degree apprenticeship on a block release. You will also be enrolled onto a bespoke internal development scheme to support you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviour to achieve your apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As this is a permanent position, after gaining your qualification, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us. You will have the opportunity to gain Chartered status with this discipline of Transport Planning, as well as the chance to study towards a Masters degree.

BTEC or equivalent Ext L3 Transport Planning (Grade DDM or above) Desired
