Things to consider
- Coordinating with our engine test and development team
- Coordinating project timelines and identify resource requirements and evaluate financials
- Monitor status of all new products and ensure effective execution of projects according to required policies, procedures and government regulations
- Prepare plans for all NPI projects and coordinate with all stakeholders and ensure good quality product
- Coordinate with engineering and product management departments and develop and implement Manufacturing Plan for products
- Assist Manufacturing department and manage communication across all departments
- Develop product test plans and perform production test according manufacturing process instructions
- Administer efficient first release products for D&D for submission to regulatory
- Assist New Product Introduction Manager and manage integration of all products according to product lifecycle
- Monitor operations of product and evaluate designs and ensure adherence to all design and manufacture principles
- Ensure compliance to all ECO procedures and work instructions
- Work with design engineering and assist in transition of design prototypes into cost efficient and high volume products
- Provide technical support to Materials Management team for all RFP initiatives and administer effective use of outsource products
- Develop prototype design according to required techniques and manufacturing processes
- Maintain an inventory and ensure availability of required equipment, tools, test equipment and prototype parts

Desired qualifications
- A minimum of 5 GCSE (or equivalent) at a Grade 5/C or above in mathematics, English, Science, Technology or Engineering with a minimum of a Grade 6/B in mathematics or 90+ credits in an Engineering BTEC at level 3
Future prospects
- On satisfactory completion of your apprenticeship, there is the possibility that you will be offered full time employment with Perkins (Caterpillar)
- There is the opportunity to develop through the business as a Chartered Engineer or Engineering Manager
- Exceptional apprentices may get the opportunity to complete further apprenticeships or further education at University
Things to consider
- After initial paper sift, candidates will be required to sit a Maths, English and ICT skills assessment
- Candidates who successfully complete this assessment stage will be invited to an assessment centre to be held at Perkins Engines Company (Stafford) Facility, likely to be held week commencing 26th July or the week commencing 02nd August
