Key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing internal reports and collating data so that the Tote can meet its regulatory reporting obligations
  • Learn to support the delivery of specific risk assessments as directed by the Head of Risk or Compliance Director
  • Carrying out compliance monitoring activity in accordance with the compliance monitoring framework
  • Supporting in the completion of internal investigations carried out by the Head of Risk or compliance function and compiling formal reports
  • Developing in depth knowledge of GDPR requirements through the effective and timely completion, monitoring and reporting of regulatory responsibilities in relation to data subject rights, e.g., subject access requests
  • Ultimately owning compliance due diligence processes and conducting initial checks for referral to the Head of Compliance or Compliance Director
  • Developing key cross functional information gathering initiatives to support risk and data related requirements
  • Supporting the Head of Risk in the education and awareness of colleagues in relation to functional specific risks, controls, and mitigations
  • Collaborating with HR / L&D to ensure the agreed induction and refresher training in relation to Risk and Compliance is completed effectively, transparently and in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders
  • Supporting the business in the execution of remediation plans in response to risk assessments, investigations, or monitoring, acting as a key liaison between departments and escalating as appropriate
  • Learn how to promote a positive and pro-active risk and compliance culture within the business through ongoing support to maintain and to eventually deliver training to colleagues

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Good IT skills in Microsoft Office packagesincluding Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience of working withina team
  • Good communication skills

  • Professional and approachable, able to act in a confident and professional manner with people at all levels in the Tote
  • Demonstrates a can-do attitude and experience in working within an office and/or project environment
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at once, with a strong attention to detail
  • An understanding and/or interest in the Industry

Desired qualifications

A level or equivalent qualification in maths & English are essential.
