Technical Support Section

Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

A permanent vacancy for a Building Services Engineer has arisen within the Technical Support Section at Mid Cheshire Hospitals, to assist the Estates Manager in the Trust wide management of energy consumption and cost, and to be fully responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Division's building management system, energy monitoring and targeting system and to manage the Trust Energy Centres.

The successful candidate will have:-
  • Main responsibility for the operation, maintenance and development of the Trust's Building Management System
  • Lead responsibility on matters relating to energy including the design and development of energy saving projects, evaluation of new energy saving devices and the implementation and maintenance of the Trusts Energy Policy
  • Served a formal, recognised apprenticeship in an appropriate building services discipline.
  • Experience of hospital technical services and planned maintenance systems.
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and environmental health issues.
  • Computer literacy in databases and management systems.
  • An engineering background with an Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) level 5 (ie HND/Foundation Degree level) qualification in Electrical Engineering, or relevant experience.
