As a Healthy Family Support Worker within Virgin Care in Preston you'll join a team who are focused on clinical excellence and positive outcomes for children and families.

Your days will be rewarding and varied and include:
  • Workingacross the Lancashire Young People & Healthy Families Service with preschooland primary school aged children and their families under the direction of Health Visitor, School Nurse and Staff Nurses.
  • Utilising your knowledge of childdevelopmental milestones to provide key elements of the Healthy Child Programme.
  • Targetedsupport based on need as delegated by a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse / Team Leader and members of the wider team.
  • You will predominantly work within the School Nursing team supporting the delivery of the National, Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), School Health Needs Assessment and other targeted work related to children and families.

You will have a good general education and evidence of personal and professional development. You will have experience ofworking in partnership with families andliaising with parents regarding their child's needs. Most importantly we are looking for someone who can work as part of an effective team and is passionate about the wellbeing and development of children in the local area.
