Apprentice HR Admin Assistant

30 hours per week (fixed-term 12- 18 months)

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual, who demonstrates the potential for excellent administrative and customer service skills to work as an Apprentice within the Human Resources Department.

You will be based mainly on the HR Department Reception. Working under supervision; you will be responsible for;

  • The provision of administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Team, and in particular, to provide support to the Recruitment & Selection Process.
  • Providing a positive first impression; receiving visitors to the department and completing document checks for job applicants.
  • A variety of other administrative tasks such as; filing, dealing with telephone and e-mail enquiries, and typing standard template letters.
  • Assisting with the receipt of information, inputting this into the Trust HR/Payroll System (ESR) and producing standard reports, as required.


There is an eligibility criterion for government funded apprenticeship schemes that applies and therefore applicants should be aged 16 or over. You must not hold a degree, level four qualification or above and must have been resident in the UK/EU for the last three years.
