Spectrum Community Health CIC are an innovative, not-for-profit social enterprise providing award-winning, high quality healthcare services across the North of England, within health & justice, sexual health services and substance misuse services.

We are seeking to increase our team of experienced GPs, who are passionate about primary care and healthcare innovation. These posts are substantive full-time or part time, and will attract all of the benefits of NHS employment including NHS pension and time served enhancements.

Previous experience working within secure environments, whilst desirable is not essential as full induction and training will be provided. More critical to this post are the alignment of values to those of the organisation and personal and professional attributes of compassionate leadership, encompassing an enthusiasm for the delivery of clinically effective, evidence based, high quality, equitable community care and a desire to innovate and support new ways of working as part of a transformative integrated provider team.

Line managed and supported by a Regional Lead GP, you will have access to continuing professional development in support of appraisal and revalidation through our GP forum. As a senior leader you will have access to a full induction and a range of ongoing professional support, coaching and development opportunities including Spectrum's own ILM accredited leadership and management programme.

In addition, there is access to specialist research and educational supervision opportunities through our Research Directorate and medical education departments.

HMP Low Newton is an adult female prison with a population of approximately 300 patients. It is a mixed category' estate which means it houses both remand and sentenced prisoners. Healthcare services are 24-hours and you will join an established primary health care team highly experienced in health inclusion. Based in the prison's Healthcare Wing analogous to community GP services, you will have the opportunity to work with key stakeholders from mental health, psychiatry, sexual health, substance misuse, and maternity to deliver trauma informed, patient focussed primary health care. New to secure environment health care? We will offer full training, induction, and ongoing supervision so you are never isolated from colleagues or expert advice and guidance. Here is an opportunity to work within a patient focussed care model supported by expert stakeholders within the Spectrum clinical community and local community expert resources.
