About the apprenticeship
Duties
Performing preparation duties such as slicing and dicing salad, mixing and preparing fillings,
Date-labeling and storing food items.
Cleaning and organizing work areas, equipment, utensils and service station.
Following established recipes to prepare menu items.
Following guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures, limiting wastage and adequate portion control.
Serving customers in fast, efficient and friendly manner.
Providing customers with information regarding food ingredients,
availability and pricing.
Ensuring absolute compliance with dietary and allergy requirements when preparing food orders
Complying with relevant food safety, hygiene and service standards and procedures.
Cleaning and sanitising work areas, utensils and equipment
Serving customers and taking orders.
Additional information
Look for someone who has;
Ability to work under pressure
A good Work ethic.
Initiative.
A strong focus on hospitality and an overall desire to please.
Polite, friendly and accommodating.

Skills
First and foremost, someone who
demonstrates attention to detail when
preparing food orders.

- Able to prepare and serve food orders
quickly, while maintaining a high level of

Hard working.
Able to prioritise and perform multiple tasks at once.
Well-organised and detail-orientated.
Capable of maintaining a clean workspace.
Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
Fit enough to spend most of the work day
standing.
