King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK's largest and busiest teaching Trusts with a turnover of c£1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 13,500 staff based across 5 main sites in South East London. The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King's College Hospital (KCH) sites at Denmark Hill in Camberwell and at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in the London Borough of Bromley.

The Radiology department at the Denmark Hill site provides services to a broad range of specialties including Trauma, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Hepatobiliary, Vascular, Renal and Cardiology.

We are recruiting radiographers to join our Breast Radiology team. The successful applicants will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with excellent communication skills. We welcome applications from candidates who have already achieved their post graduate award in mammography or from those willing to undertake this course of study from September 2021. The King's Breast Radiology Department will support successful candidates in attaining this award through the King's Breast Training Centre & London South Bank University. Our in-house training centre is internationally recognised and provides postgraduate, sub-specialist education to large numbers of medical and radiographic attendees annually. With appropriate adjustment/virtual learning, this has continued successfully throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The South East London Breast Screening Program (SELBSP) is delivered from King's College Hospital and its five community-based satellite sites. King's is located just 20 minutes from central London. The program has an eligible population of approximately 220,000 women. The post holders will play a key role in delivery of the SELBSP COVID-19 recovery plan. They will also support the symptomatic Breast Radiology service at King's which sees in excess of 4,000 patients per annum.

The successful candidates will work alongside a range of staff including radiologists, clinical nurse specialists and other key managerial leads.

This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in the future of Breast Radiology services at King's. The successful applicants will be part of our dedicated workforce in this prestigious Trust. Innovation, the desire to make a difference, and our passion for patient centred care, are key to what attracts candidates from around the UK and the rest of the world to join our team.

All applicants must hold a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent and HCPC Diagnostic Radiographer registration.
