Christchurch Integrated Community Rehabilitation Team have an exciting opportunity for a Rehabilitation Assistant to join our motivated and highly skilled multidisciplinary team. The Team are looking for someone who is comfortable working within a supportive team to assist and complete rehabilitation and care tasks prescribed by our ICRT Nurses, Physio's and OT's to patients with a wide range of disabilities and medical conditions. The Team is responsible for providing rapid response admission avoidance assessment and treatment to the acutely unwell patients in their own homes, rehabilitation to patients with chronic and long term conditions, end of life Palliative care to patients in their own homes and also rehabilitation to patients in care homes. There are numerous opportunities to work alongside other professionals within the integrated community services and to be part of a dynamic team of professionals.

It is essential that you have experience of rehabilitation or a caring role, preferably through employment within a community setting but we would consider applicants with transferrable life skills from other caring roles. Applicants will need to have good verbal, written and team working skills. You will need to be flexible in your approach and confident to work alone. Basic IT skills and NVQ level 2/3 would be advantageous.

In return for your enthusiasm and commitment, we can provide an opportunity for you to develop your clinical skills and experience in a supportive team, with regular supervision and appraisals. We are proud of our commitment to the training and development of staff and offer excellent opportunities for development through the Apprenticeship scheme, staff are encouraged to complete the care certificate and offered opportunities to undertake additional training in basic nursing procedures such as Venupuncture, stoma/catheter, pressure and wound care, ECG for example.

This post is offered as a Permanent Part time or full time role.
