What will the apprentice be doing?
You will undertake a range of assessments at the end of your academic modules. Create a portfolio which will capture the knowledge and skills you will develop throughout the programme and in the workplace.
You will also complete a final year work-based project which will bring together your accumulated knowledge. The portfolio and project will contribute towards your End Point Assessment for the apprentice standard.Design, build and test high quality software solutions to meet business needs
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The blended work-based programme is delivered over three years and includes modules taught at DMU and by distance learning as well as a final year work-based project. You will also have access to IBM's world class training to ensure you can build a strong foundation for your future career.
CIC Learners will be taught in blocks of one week at a time, each comprising four days of teaching followed by one day of revision. There is also pre and post block support.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
You will progress your career within Software Engineering with the opportunity to also cross skill into others areas such as DevOps and Automation Testing
