Join the vibrant team at Rhodes Wood Hospital, a specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder service with 3 wards, which empowers recovery in a fast-paced, challenging and fun environment for children and young people aged 8-18 years with eating disorders.

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will support the service in delivering and monitoring structured therapeutic activities and assisting in the planning for therapeutic assessments, activities and interventions.

You will be responsible for leading occupationally based groups which will see you build one-to-one rapport with service users to encourage participation in activities and empower recovery.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and modification of structured activities in order to measure progression and ensure effectiveness.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and will have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth.

This role involves:
  • Maintain clinical records and complete electronic records timetabling system
  • Keep a record of your training and development activities
  • Support the development of life skills programme for 16+ service users
  • Contribute to assessment and discharge reports and CPA reviews where appropriate

To be successful in this role:
  • GCSE/O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2
  • Experience in a similar environment
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative skills and background, which can be transferred into a hospital setting
