What will the apprentice be doing?
The apprenticeship is a work-based qualification, this means that all of the training and assessment for your apprenticeship will be completed via distance learning or on-site at one of our hospitals. You will undertake placements at other locations local to your hospital, for example the local NHS Trust or a GP practice.
During your apprenticeship programme you will be continually supported by an Apprenticeship Education Supervisor in Practice (AeSIP) with your practical and academic skills.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Upon completion, you will be awarded a BSc in Adult Nursing practice and will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once qualified as a Registered Adult Nurse, you can expect a starting salary of around £25,000 per annum plus benefits (based on a graduate Nurse Salary in 2021), which is one of the highest graduate entry starting salaries in the UK.
