We are recruiting for a Structural/Civil Engineering Apprentice to join our friendly and innovative London Structures team, who are involved in a wide variety of challenging and exciting projects.

Apprenticeship candidates will have at least three A levels at Grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent including mathematics and Physical Science (Either Physics or Chemistry) or will have completed aBTEC National Diploma in a relevant field for the degree.
Candidates are also required to start the programme holding a L2 maths and English qualification (GSCE grade A*- C/new tariff grade 9-4, equivalents or above), which is compulsory within the apprenticeship requirements.
Future prospects
We would expect candidates to become integral member of the team with future prospects to continue with education to become Chartered Engineers.
We are recruiting for a Structural/Civil Engineering Apprentice to join our friendly and innovative London Structures team, who are involved in a wide variety of challenging and exciting projects.
Role responsibilities:
- Undertake detailed structural engineering design (using both software and knowledge to verify rigorous calculations)
- Prepare technical specifications and schedules, design stage reports, structural specifications and innovative design solutions
- Plan and undertake Computer Aided Drawings for production of design work
- Use Building Information Modelling (BIM) software to design engineering services on projects learning from colleagues and in house training
- Ensure service and project work are carried out to a high standard within agreed deadlines and within budget
- Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met
- Assist in development of computational engineering
- Represent the company as part of a team attending design team meetings or meetings with clients and architects

- Good communication skills and team orientated (ability to work in a team environment)
- Good IT skills and the ability to learn and use software, programmes such as Microsoft Office, 3D BIM, structural analysis packages and visual programming (i.e. Python, Dynamo and Grasshopper)

- Confident, enthusiastic, proactive and 'can do' attitude
- Should have a positive and inquisitive approach and confidence to ask and respond to challenging questions
- Willingness to develop personally and acquire new skills
