This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. The certifications you gain are highly respected and globally recognised. The skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable, giving you the best possible start in your professional career within the IT sector.

The purpose of this role is to provide first-line network and infrastructure project support to senior engineers, in addition to carrying out regular operational maintenance activities for large customers based in the UK covering the following technologies which will include:
- Firewalls, networks, backups, antivirus, monitoring, security updates, secure remote access identity & access control, site surveys & asset management
- Deploying security updates across networks, workstations, servers
- Deploying networks, workstations, servers and virtual machines including installation of applications, features and roles when required
- Active Directory user and group management activities
- Follow standard procedures for routine activities
- Work with and escalate where necessary technical issues and changes to senior infrastructure engineers
- Attend and actively engage in regular team meetings
- Assist with projects, upgrades and new system implementations
- Frequently visiting client sites

- Knowledge of networks including firewalls, switches and routers as well as Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems including Windows 10 and Windows Server Operating Systems
- A basic understanding on the principles of firewall access control lists, routing protocols and switch technologies including VLANs and Spanning Tree, Windows Updates, Windows Backup, Active Directory, Antivirus, Email, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, Local Area Networks including switches, routing, firewalls, is beneficial
- You will be well-spoken with excellent written and verbal communication
- You will be confident taking part in meetings and holding discussions over the telephone as an active participant
- You will be a logical thinker with the ability to solve problems
- You will be an energetic individual with a passion for customer satisfaction and technology
- You will be a strong character with a friendly personality, and will be a team player
- You'll be able to work in a fast paced environment, pick up knowledge quickly and be able to work well under pressure
- Due to frequent client site visits, a full driving licence and car is required

Desired qualifications
- To be considered for this role, you ideally would hold a C/4 grade or above in both GCSE or equivalentmaths & English, and in three or four other subjects
- You will have completed a Level 3 apprenticeship in IT or hold a level 3 BTEC and/or A-level or equivalent in IT or have hands on experience in a similar role
- Please note that you must not hold an existing qualification at ahigher level in a similar subject (e.g. a degree)
