COVID-19 Vaccination Programme Registered Health Care Professional (RHCP) - Clinical Supervisor - Band 6

Working as part of our dynamic team who work tirelessly to deliver our mass vaccination programme safely and at pace, we are looking for you to make your mark and play your part helping us to keep the momentum of vaccination the local population going.

You will responsible for:
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of a safe service, supervision of clinical assessment prior to the vaccination and the safe delivery of the vaccine. You will also supervise and coordinate the vaccine preparation (drawing up, ensuring correct storage and provide injections to the vaccination station)
  • You will assist with the overall coordination of your area and day to day delivery of the vaccinations, ensuring the stations and equipment within own area are prepared and sufficient clinical supplies are available.
  • Supervising clinical assessments of patients prior to vaccination
  • Supporting the reviews of complex medical histories, any potential adverse reactions and offering specialist advice as needed.
  • Ensuring the vaccination station, from set up to running the station, complies with relevant procedures
  • Delivery of the safe immunisation service and assisting any agreed changes needed within the setting and service areas.
  • Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to policies and procedures

Training will be provided.

Working primarily at our Mass Vaccination Site at either Dagenham East, Romford or Chingford but of course, we know you will appreciate the need to be flexible to support our other sites as required. We are looking for part time/full time staff to support our centres operating Monday to Sunday from 8am to 8pm. Shifts are 8am - 12pm, 12pm - 4pm and 4pm - 8pm and can be combined.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

Assessment/Interview info

At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,784 to a maximum of £4,822).
