Early Careers and Apprenticeship Manager

As our Early Careers and Apprenticeship Manager you will manage and co-ordinate Unipart Logistics employment readiness (e.g. Kickstart), apprenticeship, and graduate programmes to ensure that they are optimised for both Unipart and our colleagues in these programmes. Highly effective in managing and working with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels in order to ensure the ongoing co-ordination and delivery of interventions, you will have a continuous improvement mind-set.

Early Careers and Apprenticeship Manager Responsibilities:

On a daily basis your span of responsibilities will be wide and varied and may include learning delivery and development, problems solving, and administrative excellence.

• Ensure that the Unipart Group graduate scheme is effective and well managed.
• Ensure we optimise government sponsored employment readiness schemes (initially the Kickstart scheme) for the organisation, whilst ensuring the best possible learning experience.
• Work with the HR Director for Corporate Responsibility and Policy to understand external opportunities and best practice and identify those that will deliver maximum business benefits and impact for individual participants.
• Work with training providers and EFSA - including provider selection, contract management, and ongoing relationship and knowledge management
• Identification of apprenticeships that would support the capability strategy within all core areas of the business i.e. HR, Finance, IT, Health and Safety, Facilities and Maintenance, Hospitality, Operations, Manufacturing.
• Maximise utilisation of levy funding and manage against financial forecasts.
• Recruitment and selection - managing the process for the assessment of candidates, working with providers to track applications, and partnering with line manager to ensure optimal candidate experience.
• Management of Apprentices - understand the required learning outcomes for degree apprenticeships and work with relevant stakeholders to establish suitable progressive placements for the duration of the apprenticeship and to include "final role".
• Co-ordinate the provision of coaching, pastoral support, reviews, assessment, and other necessary support to facilitate success on our programmes.

Early Careers and Apprenticeship Manager Requirements:

• Of degree calibre.
• Experience of and a passion for developing early / emerging talent.
• Solutions oriented with a continuous improvement mind-set.
• Broad range of communication and influencing skills, able to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders and establish a credible and positive relationship.
• Experience in the establishment and implementation of new and evolving delivery models, preferably in early careers.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment.

Salary: GBP30,000 to GBP35,000 plus car / car allowance
