We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join our Estates Department. This role is a brand new opportunity based in our Main Hospital with a competitive salary on offer of £38,323. Job Description

As Mechanical Technician you wil be responsible for undertaking maintenance, repairs, minor improvement and capital work across The London Clinic as directed.
  • Job Type:(Full Time, permanent position working 40 hours per week)
  • Shifts: The shift pattern for this role will be worked within a 4 days on 4 days off shift pattern of 12 hour shifts from 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am with 1 hour for lunch.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • To work in accordance with the requirements of the mechanical HTMs for water
    systems, statutory regulations, legionella regulations and Clinic policies.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner following the appropriate
    risk assessment at all times.
  • Undertake essential repair works and general maintenance activities at the
    request of the management.
  • Undertake helpdesk repair works as directed by the shift leaders.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with Clinic procedures


Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of five years' post qualification experience working in a mechanical maintenance environment.
  • NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical based discipline or equivalent
  • WRAS approved plumbing course
  • Health & Safety awareness training
  • Asbestos awareness training
