Band 7 Adult Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner

If you are a passionate, empowered, and patient-centered health professional, you could work as part of our multi-professional teams providing leadership, expertise, advice, and support within your specialty and beyond.

Successful candidates will be supported in their TACP development, through high-quality clinical supervision, with time dedicated for continuing professional development and funding to complete an advanced clinical practice MSc under the apprenticeship programme. Candidates must be registered with a profession that is eligible to complete independent Non-Medical Prescribing training and as part of the apprentice standard, the minimum contracted hours allowable are 30 hours.

There are several TACP roles available across many Clinical Service Units (CSU) specialties. Please refer to the attached additional vacancy-specific document for individual CSU adverts.

    You will need to also apply for a place on an apprentice advanced practice masters MSc course with our chosen education provider. You will be asked to apply only when invited for an interview.

    On successful completion of the apprentice training program and obtaining an advanced practice MSc award, candidates will be eligible to apply for an ACP position at LTHT.

    If you are offered a position, you may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment. DBS checks for volunteers are free.

LTHT will request electronic Factual Employment References from your previous employers. These references will be requested before you are issued with an unconditional offer of employment letter.
