Location of Role: Milton Keynes/ Flexible Home Working

Salary: GBP21,000 to GBP23,000

Due to recent growth, this newly created permanent role will be reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance the Graduate Legal &Compliance Administrator will play a key part in the development of the legal and compliance function in an exciting, fast-paced and ever-changing technology business. The role will suit someone who is looking to develop their personal skills and professional career whilst also being given the room to drive efficiencies and continuously improve the legal and compliance function.

This is a great opportunity for a Graduate with 6 - 12 months of legal administrative experience who is working within an in-house legal department or a law firm and now wishes to develop their career further within an award-winning, creative and innovative organisation.

The Person

* The successful candidate is likely to have a legal qualification and/or previous experience in a legal environment as well as an interest in administrative, commercial and data protection work.

* Personable, diplomatic and commercially-minded.

* Hardworking and enthusiastic approach to work; professional in outlook, attitude and appearance.

* Self-starter with a high level of initiative

Essential skills

* Ability to prioritise and multi-task particularly when working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

* Ability to both integrate and interact positively within a team and work well independently, without the need for close supervision.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Strong problem solving and organisational skills

* Highly proficient in Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable Skills:

* Legal Qualification (LLB, LPC, CILEX, etc.)

* Experience in drafting standard commercial contracts.

* Previous working knowledge of data protection compliance.

* Experience in a technology company and/or a business that sells into the public sector is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing client public procurement documents such as contract notices, supplier agreements, self-billing agreements and standard selection questionnaires.

Contract management database maintenance and reporting.

Assisting with drafting of standard commercial contracts, including framework agreements, confidentiality agreements, heads of agreement, letters of intent and contract variations

Data protection compliance including recording data breaches, managing the DPO email inbox, responding to privacy queries and supporting the business with Privacy Impact Assessments.

Working as part of the ISO internal audit team auditing internal business functions to maintain ISO 27001 (Information Security) & ISO 9001 (Quality Management) standards.

Assisting with maintaining internal policies and procedures in response to new legislation or business developments to ensure ongoing fitness for purpose.

Assisting with the preparation and delivery of in-house legal & compliance training.

Conducting legal research in relation to legal developments and/or changes pertinent to the business and/or its product and service offering.

Supporting with the maintenance of website legal terms for all websites and suite of products (for example Website Terms of Use, E.U.L.A., Privacy Policy, etc.)

Supporting the Head of Legal & Compliance with ad-hoc projects and general administrative tasks where required.
