The commitment of our 17,100 staff is key to our success. We are one of the largest local employers and we aim to develop and support all our staff so they are able to deliver high quality, safe and efficient care. The 2018 NHS staff survey results show that we have one of the most engaged and motivated workforces in the NHS. We know this has a positive impact on the care provided to our patients.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to play an integral part in driving forward Evelina London's Expansion programme. This Programme is ambitious and significant both in its scale (over £400m capital cost) and its complexity. We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Head of Workforce to provide dedicated workforce leadership and subject matter expertise as we strive to become a fully comprehensive specialist hospital.

Reporting to the Evelina London Expansion Programme and the Clinical Transformation Directors, and accountable to the Director of Performance and Improvement, the post holder will provide focused workforce leadership and expertise, and oversee the delivery of both short, and longer term strategic enablers and a portfolio of workforce projects, programmes and transformation schemes for the expansion development.

In conjunction with The Head of Workforce for Evelina London, the post holder will lead and embed the development of a comprehensive workforce strategy for Expansion, and will ensure that this compliments the Evelina London Clinical Group's overall workforce aspirations to attract, maintain and develop a high quality, and fit for purpose workforce.

We are seeking an individual who shares our commitment to developing a workforce that highly is motivated, compassionate and inclusive and who will lead the way in maximising the employment offering for our local population and communities. Forward thinking and innovative, we are looking for an individual with the energy and enthusiasm to carve out opportunities for Evelina London to be the leading provider in designing new ways of working, underpinned by attractive education and training, to not only further improve our patient and families experience as we continue to grow, but to also position Evelina London as a leading class employer of choice.

Please note, this is a permanent position but we are also happy to discuss possible secondment arrangements.
