Are you currently studying at university within an IT, technology or systems discipline and looking for an industry placement this year?
If so, AbbVie Ltd (a global Bio-pharmaceutical Company) are offering an exciting opportunity to join this September on a 12-month internship and gain insight into their organisation structure, exposure to a wide variety of senior managers, staff, policies and procedures, and the fluctuating priorities that have to be managed in day-to-day activities. The role will provide an opportunity to build a variety of skills in your own personal development.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Support the BTS Director and the UK Business Technology Solutions team working on UK commercial technology business activities. These initiatives will cover a variety of aspects of AbbVie's technology activities; primarily:
* Coordinating configuration and deployment activities for our external facing commercial and medical teams using platforms including Salesforce Marketing Cloud & Veeva and associated webinar platforms.
* Engaging across the business to support increased knowledge and confidence using new and existing internal technology solutions, like MS Team and O365. This includes planning, coordinating and delivering technology training and collaboration sessions.
* Managing mobile device end user computing in the UK and associated end user computer activities like hardware requests, onboarding and offboarding. This includes coordinating with external service providers for ordering, delivery and invoicing.
This work will provide an excellent opportunity to gain insights into the organisation structure, giving an exposure to a wide variety of senior managers, staff, policies and procedures, and the fluctuating priorities that have to be managed in day-to-day activities. You will actively support the CRM Manager (Customer Relationship Management) and be responsible for coordinating deployment activities for the UK business teams on the Veeva platform
and providing operational user support as required. Working closely with the Business, you will be managing content updates for internal and external webinar events, where accuracy, pace and responsiveness are key.
The work will endeavour to integrate the role into many of the day to day aspects of the Business Solutions Technology team to provide an insight into an established organisation that continues to grow and diversify its portfolio.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Co-ordination and delivery of assigned tasks in a timely manner to the required standards of quality. Strong communication skills are required to ensure that issues and progress is communicated to key stakeholders throughout each project/task.
* You will be required to work towards the appropriate SLA's (where applicable) and communicate any issues accordingly.
* All standard AbbVie compliance/quality standards will be applicable and the required documentation completed accordingly.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
* To comply with the company's policies and procedures to meet statutory, quality and business requirements within the overall strategy and objectives of AbbVie Ltd.
* Responsible for the health, safety and environmental performance of themselves and others through compliance within EHS programs, regulations and standards. Subject to the policy and procedures outlined in the EHS Handbook.
* Expected to complete the assessment of ALL Technology based policies and procedures as assigned within the AbbVie business policies.

BACKGROUND/EDUCATION
* Knowledge of and awareness of current technology trends including digital marketing channels
* Good understanding of MS Office products and a willingness to learn about AbbVie's current platforms that are key to the day to day running of the business.
* Willingness to learn, driven with a keen interest in business functions and the ability to work independently and thinking beyond the scope of the task assigned.
* Proactive and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills to build good working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
* A high level of English both written and oral will be expected.

* Salary - GBP22,000 per annum
