BEMS are looking to develop their Band 7 First Contact Practitioner workforce for those with a minimum of 3 years MSK experience commensurate with FCP and advanced NMSK practice.

" Keynsham PCN is a friendly, forward thinking primary care network in a pleasant market town set between Bristol and Bath (5 miles either way). We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced physiotherapist to work as a First Contact Physiotherapist across our PCN.

We have three member GP practices in the network - St. Augustine's Medical Practice, Temple House Practice and West View Surgery with a total population of around 25,000 patients. All three practices have been successfully involved in training GP registrars and medical students for a long time, so have staff experienced in supporting learning and development. Keynsham PCN has embraced the multi-disciplinary approach having employed practice pharmacists, advanced nurse practitioners and social prescribing link workers.

We value our longstanding relationship with BEMS+ who we have worked with successfully in employing, training and supporting different roles within our PCN.

St. Augustine's Medical Practice was one of the BANES practices who ran the BANES CCG pilot for First Contact Physiotherapy in 2019/20. We therefore have experience of implementing the FCP concept and see the value of what it can contribute to patient care. We are therefore excited to be adding First Contact Physiotherapists permanently to our growing team."
