What will the apprentice be doing?

This is an exciting and rare career opportunity to join the Clinical Technologist Radiotherapy Physics Team at Bristol Oncology & Haematology Centre at UHBW.

Tasks include;

Assist with the generation of treatment plans for radiotherapy treatments.
Assist with the calibration and quality control of Radiotherapy Treatment machines

Admin tasks related to treatment planning.
Use IT systems such as the "Mosaiq" Oncology Management System and the"Raystation" Treatment Planning Software

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The apprentice will undertake a professionally accredited BSc (Hons) Degree qualification in Healthcare Science (Medical Physics Technology) at the University of The West of England.

You will be supported to balance your full time job with the demands of studying towards a Degree.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship you will be eligible for entry on the professional register for clinical technologists (RCT).
