Who Our Opportunity is for:
  • Administrative Apprentice.

What this Opportunity means:
  • The successful candidate will work within the Respiratory Department and will also be given the opportunity to liaise with several other areas and departments throughout the Countess to develop different skills.
  • As this is an apprenticeship the successful candidate will be working towards a Business Administration qualification as part of this role. This will not involve attending college, all tutoring will take place at the Countess of Chester Hospital within the successful candidates working hours.
  • National Mininmum Wage applies £4.15 per hour (This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year

  • The successful candiates will have to attend an Induction over 1/2 day introducing them to our Trust & ensure they settle in.

Your Application:

  • We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible individual to provide a high standard of customer care and administrative support. The successful candidate must be able to work using their own initiative, but also as part of a flexible team.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large district General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital. The Trust has almost 4,000 staff and provides a range of medical services to more than 445,000 patients per year from areas covering Western Cheshire, Ellesmere Port, Neston and North Wales.

If subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975, then a disclosure submission will be made to the Disclosure & Barring service (formerly CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. The cost of the DBS application is £28 (standard) or £45 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.

The Trust will not fund applications for Work Permits and Further Leave to Remain.
