On this apprenticeship programme you will gain exposure to many different aspects of the commercial side of a construction project.

Duties and Responsibilities of this role may include:
  • Assisting with the procurement of materials and off-site services
  • Assisting with procurement and cost control of sub-contractors
  • To assist with the payments associated with a construction project
  • To develop an understanding of cost control
  • To develop an understanding of programming and sequencing on a project
  • To assist with sub-contract administration
  • To support projects, close out and archiving of accounts
  • Providing commercial support to the project delivery team

  • Full UK driving licence required due to the nature of the role

  • Applicants must be organised, punctual and highly motivated, with an excellent attendance record and attention to detail

Desired qualifications

  • A Level BBBor
  • BTEC National Diploma DDMor
  • Access to HE qualifications with 24 Distinctions 21 Meritsor
  • Equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 128 UCAS points
  • Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A*-C including maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above)


Future prospects

Following the successful completion of this apprenticeship programme you work gain membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and/or Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)
  • Developinto a Quantity Surveyor for dedicated projects
  • Mentoring/ line management of junior staff
