Duties and responsibilities will include:

Purpose Of Role:
  • To support major projects across the Council undertaking project administration and developing skills as a future Project Manager

Corporate responsibilities:
  • To support the Council to achieve its Corporate Strategy vision that by 2021
  • Rossendale will be a place where people want to live, visit, work and invest
  • To support the Chief Executive to ensure that the strategic aims of the Council are met

Operational Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the project manager
  • Arranging and attending project meetings
  • Note taking and keeping project documentation up to date
  • Raising and processing orders and invoicesVisiting site, arranging access to site for contractors/inspection and checking completion of works
  • Identifying risks and potential future problems
  • Arranging access for parties to site


Requirements and prospects

  • Ability to work on own initiative and make decisions within pre-determined guidelines
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in project management would be an advantage
