An opportunity is now available to strengthen the existing workforce and to promote and enhance the Operational Estates Team at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.

This role is focused on ensuring the hospital's water system is maintained in an hygienic and safe state for the benefit of all our users in accordance with ACoP L8, HSG 274, Water Regulations and HTM04-01 guidelines. You will become a 'Competent Person for the Trust' and be required to keep all water compliance documentation current. As such you will need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.

The role will involve working closely with your colleagues in the plumbing team in order to achieve a safe water system and as such duties will include carrying out plumbing repairs and planned maintenance work in association with the plumbing department. You will also be required to communicate with a range of staff at various levels within the hospital in order that we can achieve compliance as a Trust.

You will have a minimum NVQ 2 Plumbing qualification (City & Guilds) or equivalent, proven post apprenticeship plumbing experience and qualifications and/or experience in maintaining a water hygiene system, preferably in a healthcare environment.
