About the apprenticeship

Duties

Under the guidance and supervision of suitably trained staff, the apprentice will develop skills and abilities in, and assist the various departments with:

Attending and taking part in regular team meetings and regular reviews with line manage etc.

Working in a professional manner and portray a positive image of the Council in the workplace.

Participating in training necessary to meet the needs of the service.

Supporting existing teams of inspectors, technicians and engineers in development and managing projects and services in civil, environmental and municipal engineering.

Completing an appropriate course at level 3 delivered by a recognised College provider or other on a day release basis.

Working as directed by the Highways Technical Services Manager and Strategic Projects Manager.
