Detailed Job Description:

MFT, in partnership with the Apprenticeship Programme are currently recruiting for 4X energetic individual to join a Manchester NHS Foundation Trust as an IT Support Apprentice. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn and gain on the job experience to kickstart your career in IT.

As a IT Support BCS Level 3 IT Solution Technician Infrastructure Technician Apprentice your main roles and responsibilities will include:

1) Answering support calls from Trust users

2) Carrying out 1st line fixes when possible

3) Escalating 2nd and 3rd line calls to senior Technicians

4) Work within customer SLAs

5) Managed Services and/or client facing environment exposure.

There may be some on-site visits required as part of the role, where you will accompany senior engineers to client sites.

Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through blended learning. This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. The certifications you gain are highly respected and globally recognised. The skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable, giving you the best possible start in your professional career within the IT industry.

Skills Required:

You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills (both written & spoken)

You will be willing to work hard and eager to learn

You will be inquisitive, adaptable and have the ability to multitask

You will have excellent attention to detail

You will be a real team player but also possess the ability to work independently

You will have superb IT skills, a base knowledge of hardware & software and a strong interest in technology.
