Customer Service Apprentice - People Services Administration

An exciting opportunity has arisen to take the first step into People Services within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust

You will form part of an extremely valued apprentice team where throughout your placement you will gain experience across the following Departments but not limited to:
  • Recruitment
  • Workforce Information
  • HR Advisors
  • Temporary Staffing
  • Temporary Staffing Lead Nurse
  • Learning & Development

Each department will expose you to a wide verity of tasks such as:
  • Compiling reports
  • Completing staff ID checks
  • Data entry
  • Answering emails, calls and opening post
  • Taking meeting notes
  • Generating newsletters
  • Support with the co-ordination of training events
  • Research

The ideal candidate will need to be flexible in their approach. They will also need to be able to demonstrate creativity and have an enthusiasm to learning new skills, and achieving a nationally recognised qualification.

This is a fixed term contract for 18 months, gaining valuable work experience and a level 3 Business Admin apprenticeship.

Salary Information for Apprentices

Year one of Apprenticeship: £8,385 per annum - all age groups

Year two of Apprenticeship: age related if applicable

19 - 20 years: £12,792 per annum

21 - 22 years: £16,302 per annum

23 and over: £17,374.50 per annum

College Information

As part of your learning you will complete an educational pathway with Bridgwater and Taunton College, which we will fully support you with.

Bridgwater and Taunton College is located across two primary sites but the majority of your delivery will be supported online, through asynchronous study. You will be allocated a college academic mentor for the duration of your programme who will work with both you and your line manager to identify opportunities for growth and development and you will also attend a series of workshops to support knowledge development in business administration.
