Consultant in Public Health/ Consultant in Public Health Medicine

Grade: Cambridgeshire County Council P6 plus a market supplement of £6,000 per annum (£76,026 - £81,644 inclusive of market supplement)

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Joint Public Health Directorate are looking to recruit a consultant in public health/consultant in public health medicine. The post-holder be strategically responsible for Health protection including some aspects of the Covid-19 response, as well as supporting the recovery from Covid-19 through innovative population health management approaches

The post-holder will require strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, as well as the ability to work across multiple system organisations building good relationships with district council, STP, CCG and LRF colleagues.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is an area with strong economic and population growth, but also a high level of inequalities - particularly in the diverse communities of central Peterborough and in rural Fenland. There are significant opportunities to influence health and wellbeing in the area, through working with all tiers of local government and the NHS. The public health directorate also has strong connections with a range of local organisations including community leaders, voluntary sector organisations and the Cambridge Institute of Public Health.
