Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust was formed in October 2019, following the merger of 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust. The two Trusts joined together to provide integrated mental health, physical health and learning disability services to communities.

We are pleased to announce a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship role within our Nursing, Therapies and Quality team based at Edward Jenner Court, Gloucester.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust working to support to our Director of Nursing, Therapies & Quality and the wider team, providing a range of administrative support functions essential to the provision of quality related leadership and management across the whole of the Trust.

The successful applicant will receive induction and training appropriate to the activities he or she will undertake, and following this induction period will be enrolled to the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard (Business administrator / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education).

The role is extremely varied and requires the ability to deal with a wide range of duties. The successful candidate will need to have a professional, caring and motivated approach to the role with a willingness to complete the apprenticeship.

The role requires the successful applicant to have exceptional organisational skills, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar, good keyboard skills and a good communication skills. Applicants should also evidence the ability to be calm under pressure and a willingness to undertake and learn new tasks.

Apprenticeships are used to develop new work-based skills and cannot be used to gain the same or similar qualification. Please note that this apprenticeship is not within a hospital environment.

Successful candidates are expected to self-fund either an enhanced or standard or basic DBS check, and sign up to the DBS update service if required for the role.
