Telecommunications:
  • Check relevant systems to ensure billing accuracy
  • Allocate billing charges to relevant cost centres
  • Liaise with suppliers to facilitate hardware & software changes
  • Maintain and updating landline records
  • Facilitate purchase and setup of mobile devices (Smartphones, tablets, etc)
  • Administration of ALUK Vodafone contract (via the online portal)

Hardware Administration:
  • Coordinate requests for replacement/new equipment from BIS Europe
  • Maintain database of hardware allocations; both AL owned and leased
  • Ensure equipment movements (in/out) & user changes are accurately recorded
  • Ensure adherence to efficient equipment end-of-life procedures

Application Administration:
  • Provide technical support for ERP requests and incidents
  • Execute daily steps within ERP systems (AS400 R&A)
  • Input master data for new materials management requests
  • Perform ad hoc mass data upload into PREPROD/PROD environments
  • Execute month-end routines linked to ERP systems (AS400 R&A)

User Administration:
  • Keep core systems (CARM, Concur, etc) updated
  • Ensure all appropriate systems & permissions are ready for new starters
  • Manage equipment handover, setup and deliver basic training for new starters
  • Ensure leaver procedure adheres to inc. account deletion & equipment return

General Technology Administration:
  • Check BIS Europe overhead costs comply with targets/quotations
  • Track changes and demands against target dates/costs as necessary. Escalate where appropriate
  • Provide general user assistance around ALUK site(s) as necessary


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Experience of working in a technology role would be advantageous, but not essential
  • A driving licence is preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good attention to detail
