This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth and development with additional training, a chance to progress, and be part of a friendly, open working environment. The growing company, who make a range of bespoke and interesting products within the buildings industry, has internal and external manufactured products, and have an excellent reputation in the industry.
Product Design and Development Engineers work on all stages of product creation, product modification and product componentry. They support activities ranging on early concept feasibility, Computer Aided Design and other modelling, activities and stages through to final preparation for launch and customers. This includes working on concepts, rapid prototyping, assembly, testing, validating and analysing performance. Typically they work closely with suppliers and managers in bringing new concepts to life or contributing to redesigns of existing products. The role with us will initially be supporting the design team with technical drawing, writing and product specifications but will allow you to develop as you gain engineering knowledge through your apprenticeship and on the job experience with internal teams.
The role will suit someone who wants to succeed as an engineering and technical specialist, is keen to get hands on in several areas, such as product manufacture and assembly, as well as research and development, and design engineering.

Minimum Tariff points of 112.
Successful candidates typically have 5 GCSE's at Grade C/4 or above, including mathematics, English and a science, technology or engineering related subject, as well as A Levels at grade C or above in both a mathematical based subject and a science, technology, engineering or additional mathematics related subject, or an Engineering BTEC at level 3.
Future prospects
Possible permanent position upon completion of apprenticeship.

Easily accessible location, on main bus routes and with free onsite parking.
Holiday entitlement: 28 days including bank holidays, additional time off over the Christmas period.
5% company pension contribution.
