An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nursing Assistant to work as part of our team on the Elective Treatment Centre for Surgery, which is a Green Shielded Ward.

ETC Surgery specialises in ENT, Maxillofacial, Hepatobiliary and Colorectal surgery. We also care for patients under other specialities such as Vascular and Urology.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
  • Work in a team and build relationships with your fellow team members
  • Support our patients with their daily activities, such as with hygiene needs, assisting with nutrition and hydration.
  • Think on your feet, communicate effectively, take on responsibility, prioritise your work load and keep accurate records
  • Help patient's to maintain pressure relief.
  • Support the Nursing Team in caring for patients with altered airways.

ABOUT YOU:
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a team and take initiative
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential

Applications are welcome from all areas of healthcare. If you have transferable skills and experience but not the qualifications, we may be able to offer an apprenticeship role to support your development. Please note, this is subject to apprenticeship eligibility checks.

Applicants who are offered an apprenticeship will be paid at £17,051.04 per annum and will progress to Band 2 £18,005 - £19,337 per annum upon successful completion. If you are already qualified you will commence at the bottom of Band 2.
