An exciting opportunity has arisen to support our COVID 19 Test Trace and Protect Programme in Powys Teaching Health Board. This role is on a Bank Basis . The role of the COVID 19 Testing Clinician will be to deliver the testing component of our service and will be pivotal in identifying patients needs in order to ensure excellent care is given to our patients.

We are looking for Band 5 clinical staff with a nursing degree of allied health professional degree to join our dynamic, forward thinking Testing team and to help support our new models of care to support the Covid-19 situation and deliver our Test Trace and Protect strategic framework.

We're looking for enthusiastic clinicians who are excited about new opportunities. You will be working in an environment that will be varied and will offer you the chance to influence service developments and improvements.

You will be required to work on a rota basis in order for our service to be delivered 7 days a week, delivering testing in our Mass Testing Units and our community settings. Testing currently includes antigen testing and antibody testing.

Our aim is to provide a high standard of assessment and evidence based care to patients and recognising the wider impact that COVID-19 can have on peoples lives.

You will need to be confident to deliver any training requirements and educating on up to date guidelines will be an important part of the role.

You will need be highly motivated, have the ability to use your own initiative and demonstrate the values and behaviours of the health board.

We will provide you with a structured induction and training period to ensure you have the opportunity to develop new skills and competence.

There are positions available across Powys, with the central hub being based in Builth Wells. There is a requirement for successful candidates to hold a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel across areas within Powys based on service need and demand.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
