We are looking for a Maternity Support Worker to join Antenatal Clinic, River Team. This is a part time role, working over a 5 day week (exclude BH).

Candidates will need to have successfully completed a Maternity Support Worker apprenticeship programme/qualification or have worked as an MSW in a UK based maternity unit/hospital. Certificate of completion must be presented when you join the trust.

You must be proficient in phlebotomy, undertaking observations such as blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and temperature.

You will need to demonstrate you have been trained to provide breastfeeding advice in line with the Baby Friendly Initiative.

In-house mandatory updates is provided on an annual basis to help develop skills in looking after maternity patients with particular attention to their specific needs in pregnancy. This includes supporting women to prepare for life with their babies, health promotion and gaining feedback to improve services. You will work within the clinic to support the midwives and multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth day to day running.
