Software Testers at HypaShip work as part of a team and are responsible for testing the quality of software development and deployment. They are involved in performing automated and manual tests to ensure the software created and fixed by developers is fit for purpose and in line with customer requirements. Some of the duties include analysis of software and systems, mitigation of risk and prevention of software issues.

Main responsibilities and key tasks:
  • Work closely with other software testers
  • Analyse documents and develop tests in line with specifications and for bug fixing and new features
  • Assist with planning of testing projects
  • Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing, regression testing and scalability testing
  • Write and execute test scripts
  • Run manual and automated tests
  • Test in different environments including web and mobile
  • Write bug reports
  • Review documentation
  • Work towards departmental and project deadlines
  • Provide quality assurance
  • Provide objective feedback to Test Lead and Head of Operations
  • Trouble shoot and problem solve
  • Design tests to mitigate risk
  • Present findings to Test Lead and Head of Operations
  • Work on multiple projects at one time
  • Liaise with project teams in other departments
  • Communicate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Communication with customer Account Managers
  • Proactively keep client-facing colleagues and immediate team aware of issues
  • Keep the issue and project tracking system up to date
  • Version control management

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders, including the ability to explain technical information to people with no technical background or understanding

Desired qualifications
