We are looking for 2 skilled, resourceful and dynamic Speech and Language Therapists to join us in providing clinical cover to a variety of clinical areas. If you are an experienced speech and language therapist looking to widen your skill set, then this may well be the opportunity for you.

The service at York Teaching Hospital is responsible for delivering care across multiple clinical areas, including ENT Voice clinics, Head & Neck Cancer MDT and Neurology services. We deliver services across the whole pathway from inpatients to outpatients & community. We also deliver a weekly videofluoroscopy service.

We are looking for someone with sound skills in assessment, differential diagnosis and management of adult communication and swallowing disorders to work in a number of clinical areas. The successful candidates will need to be flexible with time and skills, in order to respond to the needs of the service.

We are a supportive and skilled Speech and Language Therapy Team - closely linked with colleagues based in Scarborough, working together on many elements of service provision and development. We have a strong culture of clinical supervision, including regular service meetings and opportunities for in-service training. The service is also supported by a dynamic admin team.

We are committed to achieving the very best care that we can for our patients, and actively seek to promote the Speech and Language Therapy role within the organisation. Speech and Language Therapy services have representation on many patient care delivery groups, and enjoy being part of an integrated team and multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. We receive very positive feedback from the regular student placements we provide for Leeds Beckett University.

If this sounds like the kind of team you would like to be part of, please get in touch to find out more!

If you wish to apply for this role on a secondment basis, please seek permission from your current line manager before applying for the position.
