A great opportunity has arisen for a Band 8a Clinical /Counselling Psychologist to work within the North Bristol Trust, for an 18 month fixed term contract. The post holder will be the Lead Psychologist in the Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery service, line managing a team of Clinical Health Psychologists.

The post holder will be embedded in the Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery service, which is in the Anaesthetic, Surgical, Critical Care and Renal Directorate. This post involves working closely with members of the multidisciplinary team, including Specialist Nurses, Dietitians, Bariatric Practitioners, Consultant Endocrinologists and Surgeons. North Bristol Trust has been recognised as a leading obesity management centre by the European association for the Study of Obesity (EASO). The post holder will be embedded in the Weight Management and Bariatric Surgery service but will be part of a wider network of psychologists working across the Trust.

The role is based at Southmead Hospital, Bristol. It is a great opportunity for you to live and work in Bristol; a city in the hills of South west England, with its own thriving art, music and cultural scene hosting a number of exciting annual festivals such as the Bristol International balloon Fiesta and the Bristol harbour Festival.
