We are looking for compassionate, motivated and ambitious support workers to train as Nursing Associates in our Specialist Learning Disabilities Service in Wiltshire. Starting as a Band 3 Support Worker / Trainee Nursing Associate (TNA), you will undertake a two year Nursing Associate Apprenticeship (which will include a Level 5 Foundation Degree), becoming a Band 4 Qualified Nursing Associate on completion of the training (and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council).

The Daisy is a 5 bed Inpatient Learning Disabilities Unit based at Green Lane Hospital in Devizes, Wiltshire. A dedicated team of Registered Clinicians and Support Workers, offers highly specialized assessment, care and rehabilitation interventions, enabling service users to live meaningful, fulfilling and independent lives in the community.

The team operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and therefore the successful candidate will be expected to undertake a shift pattern of working, including nights if required. Support workers and TNAs in this team, offer a variety of psychosocial skills to service users, whilst working under the guidance of registered practitioners.

This is an innovative recruit-to-train opportunity, offering fully-funded training options for those who do not yet have the TNA entry criteria. This is perfect for those looking to advance in their support worker careers, and for those who aim to go on to full Learning Disabilities Nurse training programs in the future. We are really excited to be offering this opportunity, and we look forward to warmly inviting you into our team.

As an NHS employee you will have a wide range of benefits and discounts, access to the NHS pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement. Best of all you will have the reward of doing a job that really matters, with colleagues who care.
