Join the team at St Neots Neurological Centre as a Full-Time or Part-Time Senior Occupational Therapist where you will provide care, therapeutic and rehabilitation pathways for those affected by a neurological or mental health condition for which challenging behaviour may be the leading impairment.

As a senior member of the team, you will have prior experience in a similar role from the NHS or private sector as you carry a designated caseload. This will see you complete occupational therapy assessments, treatments and rehabilitation plans, planning, risk assessments, therapeutic group sessions, implement 1-1 intervention and evaluating outcomes aligned to service users' care plans.

You will demonstrate clinical leadership and supervision on assigned projects where you will design and deliver new ideas, service development and provide training to the wider team.

Acting as a clinical leader within the service for treatments of neurological disorders, you will provide ongoing treatment, support and assessment of service users' physical, psychological and daily living needs to identify functional ability, risks and level of support needed.

Your responsibilities:
  • Maintain up to date, concise clinical records and provide reports as necessary for each patient's case review
  • Participate in goal planning meetings, and set and review appropriate SMART goals
  • Devise and review OT related individual therapy programmes for implementation by Therapy Assistants
  • Utilise effective clinical reasoning skills and evidenced-based practice to develop individualised health action plans
  • Participate in collecting and analysing clinical audit data and use of relevant outcome measures

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Current HPC registration and BOAT membership
  • Experience of working within a similar setting
  • BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy with at least 3 years post-registration experience
  • At least 12 months experience of working within a neurological setting
